Stay Story: A Font for Creative Campaigns

It’s 9 PM on a Thursday, and the team is finalizing the visuals for a seasonal sale launch. The main banner needs to catch attention without being overwhelming. The client wants something that feels approachable yet stylish. After testing a few options, we land on Stay Story. It’s a font that doesn’t shout but still makes an impression—perfect for a campaign that values clarity and charm.

What Is Stay Story?

Stay Story is a display font with a clean, modern structure that carries a subtle sense of playfulness. Its design balances simplicity with character, making it ideal for projects that need a touch of personality without sacrificing readability. The font’s curves are soft, its lines are precise, and its overall aesthetic leans toward authenticity rather than extravagance. It’s not the kind of font that demands attention—it invites it.

For a campaign focused on children’s activities or educational content, Stay Story becomes more than just a typeface; it’s a visual language that communicates warmth and creativity. It’s the kind of font that works well in both digital and print formats, especially when paired with bold colors or minimalistic layouts.

Using Stay Story in Social Media Graphics

One of the first places we tested Stay Story was in a series of Instagram posts promoting a new online course. The font’s friendly shape made it stand out against the background images while maintaining legibility at smaller sizes. On mobile screens, where most engagement happens, the font didn’t blur or lose detail—something that can be a challenge with more ornate display fonts.

For YouTube thumbnails, Stay Story worked well as a headline font. Its consistent stroke width and open counters helped it remain readable even when scaled down. We used it for titles like “Unlock Your Potential” and “Start Today,” and it added a polished, approachable feel without being too casual.

Stay Story in Digital Ads and Email Campaigns

In a digital ad set for a seasonal sale, Stay Story served as the primary headline font. It complemented the brand’s color palette and helped create a cohesive look across multiple platforms. The font’s versatility allowed it to work in both dark and light backgrounds, which was crucial for ensuring visibility in different ad placements.

When designing email banners, we found that Stay Story retained its clarity even when used in short, impactful phrases. It was particularly effective for subject lines and call-to-action buttons, where brevity and impact matter most. However, we avoided using it for long paragraphs of text, as it wasn’t designed for sustained reading.

Practical Tips for Using Stay Story

When working with Stay Story, keep in mind that it excels in short headlines, logos, and decorative titles. It’s not the best choice for body text or dense information, especially in formal settings. For campaigns targeting a younger audience or creative industries, it can add a unique touch that aligns with the brand’s identity.

On mobile devices, ensure that the font size is large enough to maintain readability. In thumbnails or image overlays, use it sparingly to avoid visual clutter. When working with dark backgrounds, the font’s contrast helps it pop without needing additional effects.

Pairing Stay Story with Other Fonts

To maximize Stay Story’s effectiveness, consider pairing it with a complementary typeface. A clean sans serif like Montserrat or Poppins can provide a strong baseline for body text, while a serif font like Lora or Merriweather adds a classic touch for longer sections. For a more creative feel, a script or handwritten font could work well in supporting elements like captions or labels.

When building a brand identity system, using Stay Story as a secondary or accent font allows it to shine without overpowering the design. It can be used for headings, social media handles, or promotional tags, helping to reinforce brand recognition across different platforms.

Considerations Before Use

Before incorporating Stay Story into any campaign, check the available styles, weights, and file formats. Ensure that it supports the languages your audience uses, and verify the licensing terms if you’re using it for commercial purposes. Some fonts may have restrictions on resale, merchandise, or client projects, so it’s important to confirm these details upfront.

For designers and marketers, Stay Story offers a reliable option for display needs. It’s not the most dramatic or high-contrast font, but its understated charm makes it a valuable addition to any design toolkit. Whether you’re creating a promotional graphic, a webinar banner, or a branded template, it brings a sense of clarity and character that resonates with modern audiences.
